GOD IS OMNIFICENT

 The Lord is the One who by His power made the earth. He is the One who by His wisdom established the world. And by His understanding He spread out the skies.
Jeremiah 10:12 NET.
       
      If you ask the average American who the world's greatest inventor is, He will easily say, Thomas Edison. He would justifiably be right, for Edison himself who developed many devices in fields such as the incandescent light, electric power generation, mass communication, sound recording, and motion pictures, was quoted as saying, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." 
       But deeper thinkers and historians would name Thales of Miletus who lived in the 6th. century before Christ as the world's greatest inventor of all time. A Greek philosopher, mathematician and astronomer from Ionia (now Turkey), He was perhaps the first to define the substance or substances of which all matter was composed, which he identified as water (See 2Peter 3:5). He was about the closest man to understanding creation. 
      Omnificent means one who has the power to create all things, and only God fits that description. The Omnificent God is the One who created the earth and all that are in it, plus the heavens and all therein, in six days! (Genesis 1) Greater still, He spoke The Word to His creation and it continues to increase and multiply till now, and will continue to do so till the time of the end, known only to Him. (Genesis 8:22)
       God must have endowed these great men with the knowledge and wisdom to rediscover (invent) the principles, processes and phenomena He had already created, The Omnificent God is highly coded! (to use my children's language!) He merely gives certain humans the wisdom to decode (invent) some of the hidden knowledge intrinsic in His creation, for the benefit of all. The Omnificent God didn't just create all things and ignored His creation. His work of creation is a continuum (See Is. 43: 18-19). 
       Jesus Christ is the Word of God behind creation. The bible says, 'The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.'  (John 1: 2-3 NET). When God wanted to create man, He invited The Son and The Holy Spirit to join Him in the task (Gen.1:26), meaning that man is a Special creation of the Triune God.

Reading.  Genesis 1. John 1.
The Word.  Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” (Rev. 21:5)
Worship line.  Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable (Isaiah 40:28)
Prayer. Create in me a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me! (Ps.51:6).
Last line. God creates a new heart through Jesus Christ. Call Him to recreate your heart for you today.
Charge. When Christ departed this world, He left that power of creation for us through the Holy Spirit dwelling in His followers (John 16:12-15; John 14:16-17). Therefore believers in Jesus also have been given the creative force! So you too can create!

READING. Part 3

Let's read about Joshua in the bible. God said to him, "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful." (Joshua 1:8 AMP). God did not just say read and prosper, He said read continually, always ponder on what you read, then carefully do what it says; that is His panacea for our prosperity and success. That book of the law is the Bible. It is the manual on the Christian way to a successful life. In it, God our Maker Himself is giving us the formular for success which is reading constantly, particularly His word. Joshua did. QUIET TIME

You may already have knowledge about Quiet Time, but this is an instructive piece by a young pastor of mine from his book. Here are extracts from the book. THEY THAT WORSHIP GOD

It is written for our admonition in John 4:24, 'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' In 2016 I decided to examine deeper this verse of scripture by looking at bible characters who were giants in the worship of Jehovah God to see how we could learn more about worship of His majesty. READING AND HEALING Proverbs 4: 20 to 22 says, 'My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh'.     Pastor Derek Prince, the international missionary and great teacher of the word, told the story of his healing. He was bed-riden during world war 2 at a military camp where there were no adequate medical facilities, so for over a year he laid ill in bed. Being a young Christian then, he had the zeal to read the bible right through, so he began reading, underlining passages that caught his attention. FINISHING STRONG

Some call him 'lightning bolt'. At 32 years of age he was already worth $24 billion according to the Forbes Index. BURN YOUR BRIDGE

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62 NKJV)       History tells us that the great General George Washington in his battles at the birthing of America as a nation, employed a peculiar strategy. After the conquest of a battle, he moved on, crossed the river and sets ablaze the bridge on it behind them. First, his own soldiers no longer have the temptation to deflect to the enemy camp; secondly the enemy would not sneak to their camp behind them for a counter-attack!   Moses led the children of Israel successfully across the Red Sea and the Lord closed the sea upon the pursuing enemy Egypt to destroy them. No sooner the people crossed over to the other side after some difficulties than they started hollering to go back to Egypt. READING. Part 4.

Here is a directive from the book of Jeremiah in the bible, 'The LORD , the God of Israel, said to me: “Write down in a book everything that I have told you..." ' (Jer. 30:1-2 GNB). God often sends messages into our hearts for dissemination to other people singly or collectively. As a matter of fact, this is how His manual for us, the bible was compiled to become the Holy Book. In the same way, God  sends messages to men for the use of other men. In 2011, our church embarked on a mission work at a village outside the city. We started with  regular Sunday fellowship meetings with the people of the village and the surrounding hamlets. As the pastor of the church, I had close interactions with the people and that left with me a pleasant experience of rural village life that I carry till today. THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE KING

For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.” (I Samuel 16:1 NKJV).       One of my cousins, very outspoken, spoke to me at a time we were just recovering from the shock of burying the number one son of our parents in my larger family. He said, "Brother, as the first son presently in our family lineage, it's you we'll all be reporting to now. The King is dead, long live the king. Congrats!" How does one respond to that? O GOD OUR HELP IN TIMES PAST

'So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and knowledgeable men, and made them heads over you, leaders of thousands, leaders of hundreds, leaders of fifties, leaders of tens, and officers for your tribes.' (Deuteronomy 1:15 NKJV).      God in His wisdom installs rulers over the nations, chooses leaders among the people and administers justice, peace and order in each land. Nations rule their peoples as they deem fit for their land - democracy, monarchy, capitalism, welfarism, socialism, communism and what have you, but God rules supreme over all. At the time of the reign of King David, Israel operated the monarchical system in which God chose the king and the king in turn chose leaders to administer the nation under his rule by selection not election (2 Sam. 8:15-18).
