Glories of Mother Nature - 1

THE RAINBOW

"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh."  Genesis 9:13-15

As children, we were excited to see a rainbow appear in the distant sky, so we spent long time gazing at it, wondering where was its origin and its landing. I even told myself that one day when I grew older, I would venture to find out the beginning and the end of the rainbow!
The rainbow is a sign of God's redeeming grace and mercy. The Hebrew word translated “rainbow” is properly translated “war bow.” God set the bow in the sky to serve as the sign of the Noahic covenant—signifying His promise of redemption. Scientifically speaking, a rainbow is a multicolored arc made by light striking water droplets. The most familiar type of rainbow is produced when sunlight strikes raindrops in front of a viewer at a precise angle. The colors on a primary rainbow are always in order of their wavelength, from longest to shortest: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.
This explains that there are different types of rainbow. If God said, "My rainbow" in our opening text, it means the Noahic rainbow was supernatural, another wonder in the sky. God said, "The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” (Gen. 9:16). A thick  cloud may be formed in the sky threatening to bring down a mighty storm, but God, as He covenanted, looks down on it and sets His rainbow, and the cloud disperses.
This ancient covenant with God's people still stands till today. Prophet Isaiah spoke in a latter day prophetic word which still speaks for us today: "So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19b). For them that believe, this word of God dispels every evil cloud the enemy forms against us to destroy us. Halleluiah!

MIRIAM - From grass to grace
Miriam is a transformation account. It is the story of the refinement of a plain village girl from raw to high quality. Her latent potential in the worship of God was discovered by a dedicated missionary who proceeded to mould the ordinary lump of clay into a refined vessel most fit for the use of The Master, an icon to her generation.
ONE THOUSAND CHORUSES - Singing worship better
There's need to learn correctly the songs through which we commune with the Almighty God in our Christian gatherings. God has heard enough of songs incorrectly rendered to Him! One Thousand Choruses intends to fill the gulf that had been created. It is not another song book in church but a resource material to learn more and sing better our worship songs rendered to God.
DEEPER WORSHIP - In Spirit and in truth
In these pages, we embark on a journey beyond the pews, podiums and preachings. Worship, we will discover, is not a performance but a posture. It is not faces and spaces but acts that permeate every facet of our existence. It is intentional melody rendered from the heart, resonating from our thoughts, words and actions lifted to the Almighty for His edification.
